Ascender
A little puzzle platformer game for my Computer Science project.
Controls:
- Arrows or WASD
- Shift to change Dimension
- E to pull Lever
Description:
You are a wizard who has mysteriously awoken deep underground. With no memory of how you got there, you discover newfound magical powers—an ability to shift between dimensions. Use your powers to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles, and find hidden secrets. Can you find your way back to the surface?
The extra level is unlocked by collecting all the gems.

Awesome game, the dimension shift is something new... cant wait to see how it gets better in the next version
Very cool game.
I like the dimension idea and it's good fun to try to figure out how to get the keys.
I would of liked it if there were some more levels which got a little harder or more puzzle like (like the extra level) - this could make it more of a thinking game rather than a parkour game like the puzzle platformer you intended.
Some small bugs:
- Sometimes when you flick a lever it doesn't work (happened a lot more often in the extra level)
- It might just be me but my little character looks like they are facing the wrong way
- When you change dimensions and are inside a block it gets you stuck in that block - could maybe push you out of the block for smoother gameplay
Last thing is I would like it if there were some audio effects - like some background music or jumping effect. Not sure if there was already some but it didn't come through on my end.
Other than that cool game and with some extra levels and thinking puzzles could be a really enjoyable game that reminds me of the puzzle games on 'poki'.

I'm glad you liked the game. Thank you very much for the feedback, I will try and fix the bugs in the next couple of updates along with adding additional levels :) I'm going to try get it submitted to poki soon as well.
